Kumano Hongu taisha Shrine is one of the Kumano region’s three famous shrines as well as the top shrine of the more than 3,000 Kumano Shrines which are located throughout Japan. It is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

- Transport： Take JR Tokaido Shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagoya (about 2 hours) , and change to the JR Nanki limited express（特急南紀） onto the Kii Peninsula. The limited express trains stop at Owase（尾鷲）, Kumano-shi（熊野市） and before terminating at Shingu (新宮)STN. It takes about 2hours and 15min from Nagoya STN. Then change to bus and it takes about 1hours and 20min from Shingu STN.
