Shiretoko / Rausu "Drift ice"
Rausu is a town located in south-east of Hokkaido. The town occupies the southern half of the Shiretoko Peninsula(知床半島) that was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it is one of the center of Shiretoko sightseeing. Rausu is very famous for its dynamic and magnificent nature especially in winter. Sea eagles, Killer whales, Harbor seals and others can be seen. Information and some exhibits about the area is provided by the visitor Center.
