Kirishima-shi, Kagoshima

Two old ladies looking after thousands of pots containing brewed black rice vinegar in a Tsubo batake (Pots field) in the front of Mt. Sakurajima, in Fukuyama, Kagoshima.

The vinegar await for aging in the pots for a period of 2 to 5 years depends of the matureness required by the brewer.
